The Right Site

You want a website. Scratch that: in this day and age, you need a website. 

This...can be a daunting task, especially for the technologically overwhelmed. There's so many avenues to take when researching your information superhighway road trip, and promises of introductory offers can get you locked into an expensive maintenance package if you're unfamiliar with the fine print. The good news: you're not alone.

As an artist, your website serves many functions: it is your résumé or your CV (Curriculum Vitae, or "course of one's life" translated from Latin), your portfolio, your storefront, and ultimately your marketing platform. 

Research

Sometimes the research aspect is a lot, especially when reviews go into the industry jargon.

First and foremost: talk to friends and contemporaries what they use. Ask them what they like and dislike about the platforms. Oftentimes the answer may be "so-and-so recommended it to me" and that's okay too.
